Y20 Summit

The G20 (Group of 20), the conference for the biggest and most developed economies in the world, has an official youth engagement group called the Y20.

The Y20 process gathers young leaders from around the world to discuss and debate global issues and come to consensus on policy ideas they would like to see the G20 leaders implement.

A communiqué, a collection of policy proposals, is issued to world leaders as part of the official G20 meeting and is made public at the Y20 Summit.

The Y20 summit is being held for the first time in India. India’s main goal in the Youth 20 Engagement Group is to gather young leaders from all across the world to explore concepts for a better future and create an action plan. The focus of Y20’s initiatives during India’s presidency would be on international young leadership and collaboration.

Pre-summits on the five Y20 topics will be held over the course of the next eight months, along with numerous talks and seminars at various universities across the nation, as a lead-up to the final Youth-20 Summit.
