The National Council of Science Museums recently hosted Astro Tourism – A Sky Gazing event at Delhi’s India Gate in collaboration with the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library.
Regarding Astro tourism:
- Astrotourism is an experience travel trend that blends travellers’ love of discovering new remote locales with their interest in astronomy and the night sky.
- Additionally, it encourages nature-based tourism by capitalising on travellers’ rising desire to choose locations that allow them to enjoy the luxury of being close to nature while staying in a cosy hotel.
- The Astro Tourism event features a variety of activities including Astro Talks by experienced astronomers, an Astronomy Exhibition, Storytelling about celestial objects, a Telescope Experience to View the Moon’s Craters, Astronomy Activities, a Photographic Panel Exhibition, and Astro-Photography.
